Thank you for visiting our website information and welcome to southwestern Colorado, home of premier elk and mule deer hunting.  We are professional licensed and bonded Colorado guides and outfitters with Special Use Permits granted by the USDA Gunnison National Forest, Uncompahgre National Forest and Bureau of Land Management.  We own our operation and livestock, live where we operate and are proud to offer you Colorado elk and mule deer hunting in the high country at its best. We offer hunts in one of Colorado’s premier limited game management units, GMU 66, as well as unlimited GMU 65.  GMU 65 still offers over the counter licenses for bull elk and either-sex archery elk.  Our hunting styles include primitive horseback pack-in drop camps, pack-in guided camps, and guided lodge hunts using private ground, BLM and National Forest.  We also have limited ATV hunting available. 
Our seasons start with bow hunting, (a 30-day archery season in September), and muzzle loading (a nine-day black powder season in mid-September).  Four rifle seasons follow in October and November.  We finish up our hunting year with forty-five days of late rifle cow elk hunts in December and January.

In addition to our hunting, we also offer summer vacations in the Rocky Mountains on horseback.  Take a look at our pack trips, fishing trips and camera trips.  Sit back, relax and enjoy some of Colorado’s spectacular wildlife and scenery where the West is really the West!  Trips start in June and go through late August.

As Summer approaches we are rapidly preparing for the 2009 Summer and Fall hunting season and looking forward to meeting many new faces and once again seeing past clients and friends.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.  We have reservations open for summer horseback trips and fishing, and are still currently booking hunts for 2009, 2010 and beyond.
For those of you looking for an update, our winter was average in 2009 and we are looking forward to a terrific 2009 harvest!  Limited license results will be posted around the 11th of June for anyone who applied for hunting licenses.  For those of you who missed the April 7 deadline, don’t despair.  Left-over licenses will go on sale August 11 and you can still hunt in GMU 65 with us using an over the counter elk license, land voucher or left-over tag. We are confident that the 2009 season will have plenty of adventure and opportunity to offer you, especially when you hang your hat at the Coffeepot!
